On 24 May 11 at 5 pm [GMT +8], I last checked this blog and everything was intact. This also includes the photos which were hosted from Imageporter, a get paid to share photos, images and pictures website.
On the same day at about 3 hours later, I found Imageporter not accessible anymore. The following error came up.
Server not found
Firefox can't find the server at www.imageporter.com.
* Check the address for typing errors such as
ww.example.com instead of
www.example.com
* If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
connection.
* If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
Based on my experience, this error would occur when there is no Internet connection or server is down. I can confirmed my connection is working fine and this means that the server which Imageporter is hosted is believed to be down.
If a website is gone or unable to pay its monthly service upkeep, chances are, there will be a message left by the webhosting company.
I have also did a search on the Internet and found that many people are asking the same questions. Nothing substantive has been found.
